Bethlehem: As part of the ” We Rise” project, implemented in partnership with the Dutch War Child Foundation and in collaboration with the Al-Shawawra Village Council, the Psychosocial Counseling Center for Women held two awareness meetings on April 30, 2023, and May 7, 2023, in the village of Al-Shawawra, located east of Bethlehem Governorate.
The meetings were attended by a group of parents from the village and focused on raising the parents’ awareness about the problems children face and the symptoms they exhibit, as well as how to deal with them. They were also provided with information about child service providers and how to access support, assistance, and counseling. Additionally, they were educated on how to file a complaint in case of any type of violation.
The project aims to promote prevention and protection from violence and human rights violations, enhance accountability regarding women’s and girls’ rights, and increase the participation of women and girls in supporting security and peace in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as decision-making at local and international levels.
