Hebron: The Psychosocial Counseling Center for Women in Al-Khalil conducted a series of awareness-raising sessions on women’s economic rights. These sessions focused on international conventions, the amended Basic Law of 2003, the Personal Status Law, and the Palestinian Labor Law of 2000. The initiative targeted 90 women from the communities of Masafer Yatta and Masafer Al-Samu’ in Hebron Governorate. The outreach efforts were facilitated through coordination and networking with the Al-Samu’ Municipality and the Yatta Charitable Association.
These sessions come as a part of the “Strengthening the role of the Palestinian Civil Society and the services to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law” (WIJDAN), was launched. It is a partnership between three institutions: the Psychosocial Counseling Center for Women, the Land Research Center, and the Catholic Center for Human Rights.
