As part of the project “Strengthening the Role of Palestinian Civil Society and the Services to promote and Protect Human Rights and Fundamental freedom, democracy and the rule of Law ” (Wijdan), funded by the European Union, PSCCW in partnership with the Land Research Center, conducted a 12-hour training course on “Readiness, Resilience and Response Mechanisms and the protection of Human Rights DefenderS.” This training was held for the staff of both, PSCCW and the Land Research Center over two consecutive days, June 5-6, 2024.
The training addressed various issues related to risk and crisis management, principles of institutional security and protection, as well as safety and preventive measures that should be considered in every setting. The aim was to build the capacities of the participants, enabling them to develop and formulate emergency plans specific to their institutions. These plans are intended to facilitate the work of the teams while providing their services.
The training was conducted by the international expert, Mr. Ziad Abu Laban, a consultant for the International Red Cross.
