Bethlehem: The Psychosocial Counseling Center for Women, in partnership with the Forum of Civil Society Organizations Against Violence Against Women, organized a self-care day on Thursday, March 7, 2024, for 27 women and girls from Bethlehem Governorate, specifically from camps and areas classified as “C”, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The purpose of the meeting is to assist participants in alleviating the intensity of the psychological pressures they face, which have increased significantly following the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, and the subsequent serious political and security developments in the West Bank, specifically in Palestinian camps and areas classified as “C”. These areas have been subjected to oppressive policies, including continuous raids, incursions, and separation of areas from each other, as well as arrests targeting women and underage girls. This has created a very difficult social, economic, and psychological situation for all segments of Palestinian society, particularly Palestinian women.
