Ramallah: On Monday, December 5,2022, the Psychosocial Counseling Center for Women, in cooperation with the Legal Clinic Unit at the Faculty of Law and Public Administration – Birzeit University, organized a workshop on monitoring and documenting the different human rights violations against women and following up on complaints related to violence against women. This workshop is attended by a number of bachelor’s and master’s students in the college in addition to Legal clinic staff.
The workshop precisely focused on the mechanisms of dealing with cases that had been monitored and documented, including the provided legal and psychological support. It also revolved around the issue of following-up of complaints through pleading before the courts and communicating with the competent official authorities, stressing the importance of adhering to the internal regulations of the PSCCW in order to create a safe work environment. The participants emphasized their interventions, discussions and inquiries on the importance of the role played by the center in monitoring and documenting cases of violence against women, and later following up on cases through working mechanisms that ensure justice for the victims legally and legally.
The workshop is a part of “Enabling victims and survivors to access protection services and participate in response plans to gender-based violence”, project which is implemented in partnership with UN Women, and funded by the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (UN CERF).
