Salfit: During the meeting on Tuesday, March 7th, 2022, the delegation from the Women’s Psychological and Social Guidance Center met with Governor Dr. Abdullah Kamil to discuss coordination and networking mechanisms between Salfit and the Center in the upcoming period.
Various topics concerning women’s empowerment in Salfit were deliberated upon during the meeting, including the imperative need for collaboration through the establishment of a memorandum of understanding to regulate the relationship and work between the Guidance Center and the Salfit Governorate Foundation. The delegation expressed their gratitude to Governor Kamil for his invaluable support, highlighting the Center’s long-standing partnership with numerous institutions in empowering and augmenting the role of women.
Additionally, the Center has been actively involved in the legal facets of domestic violence, raising awareness, and administering psychological treatment to individuals in need, as well as facilitating economic empowerment programs, financial aid initiatives, temporary employment, and small-scale projects.
The Governor Kamil praised the role played by the Center and called for the empowerment of women within multiple programs to be an important element in building and advancing the community’s prosperity. He also referred to the difficult conditions that the residents of the governorate are facing due to the occupation’s inhumane practices and violations, expressing his support for the Center’s activities aimed at enhancing the role of women and empowering them.
