The Psychosocial Counselling Center for Women organized an open day dedicated to women from the villages of Al-Minya and Al-Rashayda, south of Bethlehem. The event aimed to provide a safe space for emotional release and psychological support, as part of the center’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collective solidarity among women — one of the key tools for overcoming oppression and various forms of violence they face.
This activity was held within the framework of the “Together We Bloom” project, implemented in partnership between the Psychosocial Counselling Center for Women and the Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association (PFPPA), with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The open day included interactive dialogue sessions that allowed participants to share their experiences and offer mutual support, creating a safe environment based on trust and enhancing women’s resilience and perseverance in communities threatened by forced displacement, where they experience multiple forms of oppression and violence.
The project coordinator emphasized that this activity is part of a series of initiatives implemented by the center in marginalized areas, aiming to support women and empower them to express their feelings and cope with the psychological and social challenges they face in their daily lives.
The event received positive feedback from the participants, who expressed their appreciation for this initiative and highlighted the importance of continuing such gatherings to promote mental well-being and build strong community support networks.
